Admissions at Oxbridge Academy

Oxbridge Academy Admission Policy

At Oxbridge Academy, we are always excited to welcome new students. Registration is open throughout the school year to ensure flexibility for families, provided there are available spots in the classes.

Contact & Visit

Before formally applying, families are encouraged to visit the school. Our staff will be happy to provide a tour of our facilities, introduce families to teachers and students, and answer any questions regarding the school and the admissions process. We recommend scheduling visits during school hours to observe the school environment in action.

Admission Stages:

Stage 1: Inquiry & Application

  • Parents receive school information and complete the Registration Form.

Stage 2: Assessment & Review

  • The Admissions Office schedules interviews, student interactions, and entrance exams.
  • The Admissions Manager requests academic references and safeguarding forms from the previous school.
  • The Admissions Team reviews all documents and test results.

Enrollment procedure of the students for Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 classes

First Round:

  • The candidate first participates in a psychological test conducted by the school psychologist in the presence of a parent.
  • While the child is undergoing the test, the parent completes a questionnaire in their preferred language (Azerbaijani, English, or Russian).
  • Based on the psychologist’s feedback, the candidate may proceed to the second round of the admission process. If psycho-educational or behavioral concerns are detected, the SEN team will be consulted.

Second Round:

  • Groups of four candidates meet with the Head Teacher/KS1 Coordinator to complete activities in Math and English.
  • Students also engage in higher-thinking tasks and social-pragmatic activities.
  • The school psychologist and SEN specialist observe the process and document findings.
  • Results are reviewed by the admissions team and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) before finalizing admission decisions.

Outcome & Next Steps:

  • Parents receive the admission decision.
  • Specific recommendations (e.g., clinical services, additional assessments, or specialized programs) may be provided.
  • In special cases, parents are invited for a meeting before signing the contract.
