About the Edexcel International Primary Curriculum

Our Edexcel International Primary Curriculum provides a learning pathway in which students aged 8-11 can excel in English, mathematics and science. It gives teachers an easy-to-implement framework and a simple way to monitor progress.

What is the Edexcel International Primary Curriculum?

Created by experienced primary authors and teachers, the Edexcel International Primary Curriculum is designed for pupils aged 8 to 11 (Key Stage 2). It provides an international benchmark of achievement, with externally marked Achievement Tests and certification at the end of Year 6.

Why teach the International Primary Curriculum?

The International Primary Curriculum:

  • allows track pupils’ progress through a variety of internally assessed Progress Tests
  • is engaging, with ideas for lessons and a framework that allows you to embed knowledge creatively
  • gives pupils a seamless and cohesive teaching and learning experience, preparing them for higher-level qualifications
  • offers valuable delivery support, with detailed suggestions of published resources embedded within each unit.

What progression is there from the International Primary Curriculum?

From age 11, your pupils can go on to follow the International Lower Secondary Curriculum, which provides seamless progression to International GCSE. Contact your local representative for more information.
